Many people I meet are curious about the new Web 2.0. They want to know what it is and how to access it. I will try to provide a simple answer. If you accessed this website, you are already using it.

In the early days of the Internet, communication was a one-way street and consisted of a sender and receiver. Web 2.0 is the same Internet, but new technology allows us to participate as an end user. We are able to harness the power of the Internet in ways never before possible. A rich, mulit-media experience and opportunities to communicate with others next door or around the globe are but two examples.

web20intheknow.com focuses on providing schools, community organizations, and libraries with the Web 2.0 tools to teach themselves. In the process we hope to better equip educators, students, and patrons with the resources they need to excel in the 21st century.
